After some wonderful Houghton hospitality I had the pleasure of inspecting the Rogialyn herd. I saw some excellent cows and calves, and had a look at some of the younger bulls that will be coming up for sale (I now agree with my wife that it was a good idea to hide the cheque book on me). I was extremely impressed with Bass F226, that Roger purchased at the The Glen. I was very impressed with his conformation: great feet and legs, good thickness and a wonderful butt profile on a growing bull. This young bull has superb growth figures with 200, 400 and 600 day weight, EMA carcass weight, IMF and all indexes are in the top 1%. Bass F226 also has Milk in the top 10%, positive fats and is very sound structurally. All this in a B+ muscle score! I am very pleased to be able to have opportunity to use semen from this young bull. I will be using him to keep improving growth, milk and muscle.
